Overview
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date: 09/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including triage, continuous monitoring, medication administration, IV placement, and ongoing assessment of changing conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff; participate in rapid stabilization efforts for stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Document findings and interventions in the EPIC EMR; provide patient and family education; coordinate dispositions with inpatient teams or transfer services
- Float to related ED areas as needed to support patient flow while maintaining safety, infection control, and equipment readiness (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
- Maintain high standards for patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with unit policies and evidence-based practices

Requirements
- Licenses: Current New York RN license with active status; Nursys license verification required
- Experience: 2+ years of ED experience; some pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC must be in hand
- EMR: Experience with EPIC or comparable ED-specific EMR systems
- Demographics: Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Working readiness: Ability to float to multiple ED areas as needed; RTO requests must be included at submission
- Education: Active RN licensure in New York; no additional degree requirement specified
